Pay Rate $20.00hr

A Security Central Control Officer is very important to the safety and security of our clients’ world renowned Research and Training facilities. A Security Operations Center Officer allows us to accomplish our company’s core purpose, which is “to serve, secure and care for the people and businesses in our communities”. The Security Central Control Officer will be a key contributor to the security operations organization allowing our client to maintain a safe and secure work and publicly visited environment. The SCC Officer role has the following qualifications/requirements:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and communication skills while supporting our technology advanced, state of the art, 24/7 Security Central Control Operations Center.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner and efficiently
  • Conduct an extensive level of regular foot and mobile patrols throughout facilities and perimeter.
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, state of the art security monitoring infrastructure including CCTV surveillance systems, access control, alarms and incident reporting.
  • Monitor, report and handle security issues or emergency situations appropriately. Provide operations center support for 911 notifications, alarm company reporting and internal system alerts. Contact Emergency Services, such as EMT, Fire Dept., etc.
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
  • Answer phones and greet guests, employees and the public. Professional two-way radio communications and etiquette.
  • Required to monitor, report and document activities utilizing activity logs and thorough Incident Reporting (IRs).
  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
  • Walk on various surfaces for long periods of time and while conducting extensive vehicle and mobile patrols throughout multiple locations
  • Driving Requirement: This is a driving position. Must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.

As a Security Officer you will provide safety to a range of industries such as Education, Retail, Commercial Real Estate, Government, Corporate Campuses, and over 400 Fortune 500 Companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
