Job Description
Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Ralston, Alberta, Canada.
Hourly Pay Rate starting from $19.00 and increases to $21.90 after 06 months.
Travel Allowance is provided.
Weekly Hours: 12.00
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Ensure that any or all emergency situations that may occur at the workplace and client facilities are responded to by following safety and emergency procedures within the scope of Allied Universal guidelines.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Maintain complete, accurate, up to date reports and follow post orders as assigned.
- Other security-related duties as assigned from time to time by management.
- Physical requirements and environment vary between, commercial facilities, retail stores, construction sites, distribution centers requiring interior and exterior patrols, parking facilities checks, etc.
- Demonstrate an active interest in promoting safety consciousness in the workplace.
- Maintain complete, accurate and up to date, patrol notes, incident reports and information management system entries as required.
- Maintain the client’s property and facilities in accordance with local trespass legislation, property acts and/or other laws affecting a client’s property.
- Demonstrate high level vigilance and attention to detail for the tasks assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
- Licensing requirements are subject to province and/or local laws and regulations and will be required prior to employment.
- Have access to a reliable vehicle for reaching the site. Travel allowance will be provided.
- As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background check and provide proof of (double) vaccination .
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently and willing to work alone during the 12 hour shifts
- Able to:
- Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
