Allied Universal® is hiring a SIU Desktop Investigator located anywhere in the US.
The position is responsible for completing insurance fraud investigations and quality control of the final investigative product for claims delivered to the client. Must be able to continually monitor cases and ensure the timeliness of the workflow product through all stages of the investigation. The position requires the candidate to develop professional relationships with supported customers at the adjuster and management level. The perfect candidate for this role will have an in depth understanding of suspect and non-suspect claims investigations and will be able to communicate effectively to claims staff with the ability to use discretion and sound judgment to resolve or confirm red flags. A four-year college degree is preferred with demonstrated experience conducting insurance investigations including Personal Lines Property and Auto Claims.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Investigates insurance claims and obtains statements via phone.
- Able to effectively communicate using Phone and Internet Video to set appointments for interviews.
- Extensive knowledge and use of internet based investigative resources such as Google, social media, Accurint, and TLO.
- Provide accurate, high quality investigative reports to the client, requiring above average written and grammar skills.
- Highly organized and personable.
- Meets client completion due dates and provides client recommendations on current cases for future work.
- Use independent judgment and client consultation to define and execute investigative action plans on all SIU Referrals.
- Maintains timely handling of all cases and assignments.
- Thoroughly proofs and reviews all investigative reports to ensure that the report is professional and accurate.
- Conducts quality control after the investigation is complete and ensuring that all client objectives have been addressed.
- Adheres to clear guidelines regarding Allied and client company policies on privacy and ethics.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experienced licensed adjuster preferred, but not required
- A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience preferred, additional experience may be substituted for formal education with a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience conducting complex insurance investigations and two years managing or directing an insurance investigation program is required.
- Experience in conducting insurance fraud investigations; identifying and validating red flags within a claim, fraud schemes, and legal indicators of fraud during file review.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, and Teams>
- Extensive knowledge and use of internet based investigative resources and in Personal Lines products and policies.
- Ability to remain highly productive in a changing environment, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively and professionally; oral and written.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to type 30-40 words per minute
