Allied Universal is looking to hire a Training Coordinator. This position administers, organizes, and conducts company and client training programs for all employees assigned to client facility. They assess several elements and alternatives providing input to update policy and procedure based on client needs, train new employees and assist lower-level personnel, and ensure client contract training and certification requirements are tracked and accounted for. The Fire & Life Safety Training Coordinator is part of the client leadership team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for monthly training and drill metrics and reports (presented to client in monthly and quarterly meetings)
  • Responsible for client SOP updates and immediate dissemination of SOP updates to security supervisors and security staff, retraining and counseling of trainers as appropriate
  • Create and implement a “train the trainer” program for OJT/New Hire training
  • Update and implement Supervisory Training Program
  • Maintain Incident Report standards and training
  • Integration of the AUS LMS system for the security team
  • Plans, organizes, and conducts training programs, seminars, and conferences for all security personnel assign to the client's facility.
  • Writes material for new training programs; reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing and proposed programs; recommends appropriate changes to existing client LMS training programs.
  • Prepares and distributes training aids such as instructional material, handouts and evaluation forms, makes presentations when necessary.
  • Contacts attendees and department representatives about training program.
  • Schedules the appropriate classroom and prepares the physical setup.
  • Ability to work a flexible shift to accommodate training needs of staff on all shifts
  • Performs other duties as assigned by account manager

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee security training and emergency response
  • Develop, implement, execute, and revise building emergency action plains (EAP's)
  • Train the staff on the policies and procedures for the building emergency action teams (B.E.A.T).
  • Do assessments of emergency responses and generate case studies for training
  • Serve as the contact person for most life safety related vendors
  • Maintain compliance and inspection records of all Fire Wardens within the buildings, medical equipment, and employee training. Monthly stats are presented
    • Fire Safety Plans
    • Highrise Surveys for the buildings and garages
  • Regularly conduct and analyze after hour emergency response drills on security
  • Conduct one-on-one presentations with major tenants regarding the facility, safety, and security
  • Conduct various training presentations for the engineering department
  • Respond to emergency situations, analyze, and assist as needed.
  • Update LiveSafe and the fire warden program to ensure that each property manager and their engineers are listed, certified and have the proper access.
  • Regularly, meet with management, engineers, elevator technicians, tenants and vendors on life safety related changes, upgrades, or issues.

  • Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Driving Positions: must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to communicate with company employees, trainers from other companies, professional training group members, and consultants by phone, in person, or through correspondence
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
  • CPR/AED Training Certfication Or able to obtain within the first 6 months
  • Fire and/or Security Experience Strongly Preferred
