Job Description
The Vice President of Retail is responsible for overseeing a Retail Portfolio client within Allied Universal. This role involves managing client relationships, ensuring operational compliance, financial oversight, and strategic leadership in the retail security sector.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Client Management: Engage with Chief Security Officers, Senior VPs, numerous Regional Vice Presidents, and executive-level leaders.
- Operational Oversight: Manage Regional Managers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and client policies.
- Financial Monitoring: Oversee financial aspects including income statements, Accounts Receivable, and Workforce Management for optimized operations. Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and implementing retail strategies.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Governmental Liaison: Foster relationships with local, state, and federal agencies, particularly law enforcement and DHS.
- Emergency Response: Activate and manage Special Emergency Response Teams.
- Event Security: Ensure security for large client events and executive protection as needed.
- Training and Evaluation: Conduct staff training on client portfolio requirements and internal policies. Perform CPTED evaluations for properties.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in criminal justice, Bachelor's degree in Business, or equivalent. CPP certification and CEPTED certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in administrative roles, with 4-5 years at senior management levels in service organizations.
- Industry Expertise: Experience in retail management preferred, prior experience in security industry, law enforcement, or military desired. Contract security experience at the General Manager level or higher preferred.
- Skills: Strong crisis management, negotiation, and financial acumen. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office management technologies. Strong understanding of security products, services, and their applications in a retail setting. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments, maintain confidentiality, and navigate difficult client relationships.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 30% and mobilize on short notice.
- Possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Proficient in maintaining correspondence and discussions in strict confidence.
