The OSP Construction Technician I at ASG is responsible for the placement of communications infrastructure and telecommunication pathway material. ASG Construction Technicians unload and load materials, read plans and specifications, tend machines, and assist equipment operators and other construction/installation site workers.

What you’ll do: (Including, but not limited to):
- Job site preparation to include taking appropriate steps to avoid hazardous
conditions for the work crew and the general public
- Assist construction equipment operators and installers; review and verify
materials needed to complete an install
- Review, interpret, and evaluate assigned service requests, work orders, and
blueprints/diagrams
- Understand the basic Scope of the Project and all aspects of pathway
construction
- Understand and practice all safety procedures in compliance with the
organization and OSHA standards
- Performs other duties as assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the
responsibilities of this job classification
What you’ll need:
General
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- 1 year of construction experience a plus
- Requires excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Technical
- AutoCAD/Visio experience a plus
- Knowledge of standard practices when operating power tools, surveying, and
measuring equipment
Class A CDL and DOT medical card preferred
Desired Skills
- Push, pull, reach, and carry objects such as tools, materials, and equipment
weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Load and unload tools and equipment on the truck.
- Coordinate movement of eyes, hands, fingers, and feet.
- Vision including depth perception, close vision, distance vision, and ability to
adjust focus.
Job Type: Full-Time – Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Your Working Environment:
- Working outdoors in the elements year-round
- Travel and weekend work may be required
- All work is performed at remote locations; driving and sitting are required
- All work is outdoors, subject to inclement weather conditions
Your Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.
