The Jira Admin will be responsible for the administration, enhancement, maintenance and integration of Atlassian products like Jira & Confluence. This role is accountable for high availability, performance and enhanced capabilities of the Atlassian product suite. This position will be responsible for owning, managing, defining and optimizing standard Atlassian tools and processes to drive Atlassian best practices and increased collaboration across scrum teams.
Responsibilities
· Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite including Jira Software on the Cloud, Confluence and Bitbucket
· Manage all Jira UI Admin tasks like project creation, team/board creation, custom fields, custom field values, reports, workflows, issue types, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
· Work closely with Agile Enablement Office to assist with process standardization
· Take regular back-ups of Jira data Monitor the Jira-support channel in slack and respond to user questions
· Work Agile Enablement Office to identify and implement automation opportunities
· Monitor Atlassian health status and keep everyone informed of any outages or performance issues Clean up stale/unused workflows, issue types, projects, dashboards, etc.
· Create training materials and conduct user-training and help-sessions for new and existing custom features and implementations
· Find ways to optimize and improve JIRA/Confluence setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality needs to improve to meet user requests
· Promote adoption and best practices among the Atlassian user community
· Define and manage the rollout of comprehensive workflows (with conditions, validators, and triggered post functions), screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
· Refine current Jira processes to be more streamline and uniform for agile teams.
· Troubleshoot issues, communicate with scrum masters and continue to improve support processes.
· Develop mechanisms to automate manual processes
· Provide JIRA subject matter expertise in discussions regarding governance within JIRA
· Able to create Jira based reports, dashboards and planning views based on different user requirements and provide stakeholders with actionable project metrics and status reports
· Creating and maintaining technical and/or user facing documentation for training
Skills:
Required Skills
· Manage all Jira UI Admin tasks like project creation, custom fields, reports, workflows etc.
· Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on experience working with the Atlassian product suite, with specific focus on JIRA as a Site/Application Administrator
· Help in deployments / upgrades / plugin installations
· Perform regular maintenance tasks like indexing etc.
· Troubleshoot performance issues.
· Excellent communicator who can work with and influence all functions and levels.
· Will need to work independently with minimal supervision
· Proficient in JQL and developing custom scripts
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Minimum Requirement - HS Diploma or Equivalent

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $85.00 - $90.00 per hour
