Job Summary:
We are seeking a Social Media Intern to join our Human Resources team. The Social Media Intern will be responsible for monitoring and engaging with social media content across various platforms to create a positive employer brand and to help attract, engage and retain talent for our organization. The ideal candidate should be creative, have excellent communication skills, and possess a strong understanding of social media platforms and trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a social media content strategy for the HR department, including the creation of written and visual content that promotes our employer brand and values
- Manage and monitor social media accounts, including scheduling and publishing posts, responding to comments and messages, and tracking analytics
- Collaborate with HR team members to create and curate content that highlights company culture, benefits, and employee success stories
- Research and identify industry trends and best practices for social media marketing to continuously improve our social media presence
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative social media campaigns that support our recruitment and retention goals
- Assist with the creation of social media graphics, videos, and other marketing materials as needed
- Analyze and report on social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns and identify areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram
- Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools, such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or Buffer
- Experience creating social media content, including graphics and videos, using design software such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Knowledge of HR practices and the ability to understand and communicate HR-related topics is preferred but not required
This is a part-time internship position, with a flexible schedule and the possibility of remote work. The internship will last for a duration of 3-6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
