About the position:
The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for managing technical tasks for Alltech Computers clients. Responsibities may include overall Windows and Mac computer support, Windows server support, network, power, IP phone, and Office 365 trouble tickets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
Resolve computer and network problems
Perform hardware maintenance and upgrades
Test new equipment configuration
Perform network device management
Implement policy management
Optimize system performance
Document problem outcomes
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required:
2 years experience in a technical support environment, call center, or Help Desk role, which includes the following items.
2 years experience performing hardware/software technical systems troubleshooting and support
Knowledge and experience in Windows server maintenance, configuration and support
Proficiency in all Microsoft operating systems
IT support for a multi-operating system environment (e.g., Windows, Win Server, Mac OS).
Microsoft Office support including POP and Exchange/Office 365 email.
Support of desktop Operating Systems with a strong aptitude for both Windows and Mac OS X.
Support of desktop and laptop hardware and peripherals.
Support of mobile devices including tablets and smartphones.
Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following:
Remote management and monitoring tools
Ticketing systems
Backup devices
APs, firewalls, routers, switches, network printers
Must work well with little supervision individually and in a team environment
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have a California Drivers License and clean driving record
