As a Partner in Wellbeing, the Psychiatric LPN handles pre-admission screening and assesses the mental health needs of clients under their care through in-person and virtual delivery methods. They work with other staff to develop a plan of care and assist clients and families with behaviors related to mental disorders. Take temperatures, record vital signs, collect urine samples, prep clients, etc. Assist with medication administration as prescribed by medical provider.
Essential Responsibilities
Participates in the overall coordination and implementation of nursing support services for the organization's medication management function.
Assist in or ensure necessary medical-related client intake documentation is completed, reviewed, and issues addressed.
Conduct a necessary review of systems such as heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, or other applicable systems recommended by the medication management provider.
Administering injections as prescribed by medical management providers.
Collects necessary information to document accurate medication lists in the client record.
Provide customer service by promptly responding to client and community partner requests, phone calls, and/or other communications.
Coordinate medication refills as needed or with other nursing staff.
Provide needed medication education to eligible clients.
