Job Posting for Sales Business Development Manager - External Sales Channel at Allworth Financial
SUMMARY: The External Sales Manager will be responsible for growing and developing the firm’s existing various referral channel programs and exploring and nurturing new referral sources. This role is critical to future sales initiatives for the firm. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industry sales professional who loves working directly with businesses and clients, has a proven track record of sales success, and wants to work in a goal-oriented, challenging, and rewarding environment. This full-time role will work out of one of our Allworth Financial office locations.
This is a full-time, Exempt position, that can be performed from any of our existing office locations (Find a Financial Advisor Near You | Allworth Financial). This role offers a competitive base salary based on the candidate's experience and a performance-based bonus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quickly builds trust and confidence with clients and businesses.
Communicates effectively to deliver a great first impression for our sales opportunities.
Make calls in high volume to reach sales initiatives and goals.
Call on highly valued Custodial Referral Program opportunities.
Call on and follow up with leads to engage potential clients in our sales flow process.
Takes ownership of sales initiatives and seeks best course of action to achieve those goals.
Actively seeks to be innovative in creating and pursuing sales opportunities.
Consistently communicates our firm’s value proposition effectively
Approaches goals set by leadership with a positive attitude.
Contributes to Allworth’s desirable work environment and culture.
Make wholesaling presentations to Referral Partners at events and branch locations.
Communicates effectively to potential businesses, industry professionals, and clients to demonstrate the value of referral partnerships with the firm.
Partners with Sales Leadership to achieve high sales results.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years of Financial Services sales experience over the phone and/or in person
Business Development of Wholesaling experience in the Financial Services industry strongly preferred
Strong work ethic with no fear of rejection
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate financial planning and wealth management concepts and topics in a simple and digestible manner
Flexible, approachable and can quickly embrace change in goals and objectives
Strong track record of demonstrating successful sales skills over various roles and time periods/market environments
High degree of verbal and visual professionalism
Motivated by a natural entrepreneurial spirit
Experience with a Sales Client Relationship Management (CRM) system is a plus
BS/BA degree preferred; High school diploma or GED required
