Directly reporting to the Chemical Coordinator, the AOA Operations team is seeking a Lead Chemical Operator with a proven track record of accomplishments to support operations in both Stack & Scoop fields. This position will be based out of the Okarche, OK office.
The Lead Chemical Operator will be responsible for managing all aspects of Chemical and Integrity, and assisting our Ops groups.

Directly reporting to the Chemical Coordinator, the AOA Operations team is seeking a Lead Chemical Operator with a proven track record of accomplishments to support operations in both Stack & Scoop fields. This position will be based out of the Okarche, OK office.
The Lead Chemical Operator will be responsible for managing all aspects of Chemical and Integrity, and assisting our Ops groups.
Responsibilities
- Vendor management, cost tracking, pump maintenance/installations and reporting.
- Working with Integrity teams to maintain compliance, failure analysis and field support.
- Supporting Asset Panda Techs and Operations with training and rolling out new initiatives.
- Maintain data accuracy and daily notes.
- Monitor and maintain Asset Panda tickets assigned to OK.
- Ensure tool compliance, assignment/data accuracy and troubleshooting issues.
- Lead service providers and peers by example and promote Ovintiv’s safety policies and culture.
- Provide daily reporting for work and tasks being worked on.
- Coverage during vacation for Chemical Coordinator and other Lead Chemical Operators as needed.
- Perform LOTO, JSA’s, SWSA’s, and various permits as required.
- Field coverage with a focus on safety policies and procedures.
- Assistance with PSSR and new facility walk downs.
- Provide leadership and guidance in bringing on new wells and facilities.
- Attend chemical reviews, Safety meetings, Team meetings and actively participate.
- Maintain effective communication with all groups.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Five or more years of oil and gas industry experience a plus.
- Strong background in various SCADA applications and the ability to diagnose issues remotely.
- Attention to detail with ability to track cost and approve field tickets.
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of facilities, compression and artificial lift.
- Ability to work both independently and/or in a collaborative atmosphere.
- Must be a team player and possess ability to work cooperatively with other teams.
- Strong leadership, mentoring and organization skills required.
- Good driving record and a current driver’s license.
- Ability to work fluctuating schedules plus weekends and nights.
- Ability to satisfy Department of Justice requirements with or without assistance from Ovintiv.
- Safety-sensitive position subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
