The Opportunity
The Savings Product Director is a critical Deposits leadership role, responsible for driving strategy and execution, helping to lead the development and maturation of the savings product offering. This Product Management role will lead cross functional teams (Digital, Technology, Marketing, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Risk) to identify opportunities, develop concept solutions that drive profitability, improve product competitiveness, deliver operational efficiency, and drive measurable business outcomes. This role places an emphasis on relationship building, developing followership and collaboratively deploying solutions.
The Work Itself
- Developing & driving tactics to define, measure, and influence key business performance metrics for savings products and saving / spending tools
- Developing innovative solutions using data, observations, and research to improve the Savings experience and value proposition
- Ensuring business, technology, channel, marketing, and analytics partners have a clear understanding of product value (economics) and business objectives and are driving meaningful improvements that optimize the business
- Driving customer engagement and product usage
- Improving customer satisfaction and shaping the end-to-end customer experience
- Creating the Savings Roadmap and aligning vital resources to define, scope, prioritize, and execute work
- Leading and influencing others by helping balance priorities and financial impact
- Driving monthly business performance, assessing trends and opportunities, and developing forward looking outlook (NIE, Revenue, Balances, Customer growth)
- Managing vendor performance, SLA's, contract dynamics, and overall relationship
- Working with pricing team to position products to meet business goals
- Responsible for first line risk, compliance, regulatory and legal aspects of savings deposit products; understand and assess key risks, develop recommendations and drive actions to close outstanding issues.
The Skills You Bring
- 7 years of experience in Product Management or Deposits
- Proven record of working directly with analytics identify trends, solve problems, and develop cost benefit analyses
- Proven record of initiatives that place a premium on innovative thinking
- Partnership focus; prior success with indirect leadership of all levels - up, down, and peer partners.
- Experience with banking operations and information technology teams
- Customer-centric focus to product management; puts a priority on customer experience and provides thought-leadership to partner teams
- Strategic thinking: able to link disparate concepts/ideas to develop a coherent approach solving for business performance and unlocking value
- Experience with VOC surveys, analyzing data, and forming ideas on enhancements
- Experience with vendor management including establishing/assessing SLAs, reviewing contracts, negotiating, and ensuring overall financial and regulatory compliance
