Alma Bank is currently looking to hire an experienced  CTR Administrator.  This position would be located in Long Island City, Queens. Salary is commensurate to experience and in the range of $55,000-$70,000.

SUMMARY

Based on the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering regulations the individual will be responsible for the Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) process of the Bank, by ensuring that all cash reportable transactions are accurately and timely reported via BSA e-Filing on a weekly basis to FinCEN. The individual will also be responsible to identify bank customers with multiple accounts; create Portfolio IDs via IBS CTR and aggregate cash transactions appropriately for CTR reporting purposes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• File accurate and timely Currency Transaction Reports weekly via batch filing;
• Complete daily Currency Transaction reporting functions by reviewing system reports;
• Communicate with banking offices concerning CTR reporting;
• Elevate trends or on-going branch issues to BSA Management monthly;
• Provide monthly CTR production data to BSA Management;
• Review anti-money laundering system to verify that daily feeds processed correctly;
• Review daily exception reports and correct transactions where appropriate;
• Review Teller’s Daily Cash Activity Report for cash aggregation purposes;
• Identify customers with multiple accounts for CTR aggregation purposes;
• Create Portfolio IDs for customers with multiple accounts for CTR aggregation purposes; 
• Liaise with branches on a quarterly basis to ensure adequate update of all Portfolio IDs;
• Assist with review of CTR exempt accounts on annual basis;
• Establish and document new accounts as exempt as required;
• Assist with review of OFAC alerts and customer screening results.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree and/or at least five years of banking experience performing or managing Currency Transaction related tasks. Experience using IBS Currency Transaction Report system and Prime Compliance Suite is a plus but is not required. CAMS certification a plus but is not required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate must have strong organizational and analytical skills. The Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Possess good research skills involving customer and transactional data and the ability to support CTR filings with documentary evidence.  Must have in depth knowledge on how to accurately complete and timely file CTRs.  Be able to train, coach and counsel Branch staff on the all CTR requirements.  Effectively train staff, supervise and coordinate CTR projects simultaneously while managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently within established timeframes. Must possess the ability to work independently and meet weekly CTR filing deadlines.  Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internally partners.
