OVERVIEW
The Retail Accounting Manager’s responsibilities will include financial accounting, analysis, and reporting for all retail operations. The candidate will require a thorough knowledge of accounting principles as well as excellent analytical skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide accounting support to the Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting.
- Lead in the preparation of monthly accounting for all retail locations.
- Analyze retail financial information and produce various location specific reports.
- Take an active lead in the lease accounting and lease administration.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and processes.
- Support external audits to ensure compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Lead accounting support as we expand our Franchisee & JV footprint.
- Coordinate with the inventory accounting team on shrink reporting and other related matters.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years’ total experience including 3 years’ experience working in a global retail organization.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- BS degree in accounting or related business field.
- In-depth understanding of US GAAP.
- Ability to execute deadline driven processes in a dynamic environment.
- CPA preferred.
- Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
The base salary range for this position is $110,000-$130,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
