Position Overview:
The Bartender serves guests both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a friendly, caring manner. The position prepares the bar area for the evening, closes the bar area per standards, obtains payment from guest or charges to room, keeps the bar area clean, and well-stocked throughout shift.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Willingness to accept the most effective role
- Attend to all guests promptly
- Ensure bar area is clean & presentable
- Ensure beer taps are working properly
- Place appropriate bar snacks on counter; if applicable
- Keep supplies; snacks, napkins, etc. stocked throughout shift
- Perform a general inventory during shift and alert Management when products are low
- Perform a cash count at the beginning and end of shift and alert Management promptly if the drawer is over or under
- Follow management’s closing procedures nightly
- Keep bar, bar area and supplies clean
- Any other duties as specified by Management on an "as need" basis
Qualifications:
- Previous bar experience, or formal bartender training
- Weekend and Evening availability is imperative
- TIPS certified
- Lift up to twenty (20) pounds, unassisted
- Stand for long periods
