The Role : What a Floral Driver Does
As a Floral Driver you start with loading up a refrigerated truck full of flowers-cut stems, bouquets, leis-each delicate product carefully managed to maintain peak freshness.
You'll leave in the early hours of the morning, delivering to multiple stores on your route. While the goal is timely delivery, it's not just about getting there fast-it's about getting there fresh.
You'll follow store-specific procedures for checking in products, which means a little paperwork and a lot of care to make sure everything is in order.
Once the products are delivered, your day shifts to merchandising. Here's where you'll shine! You'll set up and maintain beautiful floral displays, rotating stock to keep everything looking fresh.
It's a bit like being a florist on the go. You'll arrange everything from cut flowers to leis and make sure that every display is a picture-perfect representation of what we stand for-quality, beauty, and freshness.
And don't forget : you'll need to snap a photo of your work to send to the supervisor, ensuring we have a visual record of your stunning display.
In addition to creating those eye-catching displays, you'll be responsible for taking stock of inventory, removing any expired or unsellable products, and cleaning up the floral section.
It's all about presentation, and you're the key to making sure that each store looks as fresh as the flowers you deliver.
The Perfect Fit : What We're Looking For
So, who thrives in this role? It's someone with a mix of logistics know-how and an eye for detail. You're driving a refrigerated truck, so you need a valid driver's license and a clean driving record-no DUIs or cellphone violations.
Physical stamina is essential, too, as you'll be lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, moving buckets, and arranging heavy trays of flowers.
If you've got a knack for following simple instructions and are comfortable doing some basic math, that's all you'll need to succeed on the logistics side.
And while previous experience in floral delivery or merchandising is a plus, we're willing to train the right person. Familiarity with the local area will certainly help, but what's more important is a customer-service mindset.
