What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Sales Solution Advisor position at Alpega N.V.?
Summary
As a Pre-Sales Solution Advisor, you will use your technical and business knowledge along with your sales skills to provide advice & support across the Alpega Group line of business; you will, therefore, be a key stakeholder in the Customer Experience during the solution selling process. You will assist Business Development and Field Sales from a technical & business perspective, on the preparation of sales documentation & meetings (analysis, demonstration, presentation, blueprint, etc…) as well as by performing joint visits to customers and prospects. You will work closely together with Marketing, Product Management, Delivery Management and IT.
Your role
- Participate in consultative solution selling sessions with customers and potential customers in the discovery, solution definition, RFI/RFP responses, solution demonstration and follow-up phases of an engagement;
- Establish relationships with key decision-makers to facilitate a successful sales outcome;
- Establish a trusted solution advisor role in all aspects of the client engagement during the sale process and be the pursuit-partner with the Sales Executive;
- Provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to the client’s business;
- Design, validate, and present Alpega solutions that include advanced concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products;
- Provide live demonstrations of the Alpega solutions that meet the client’s business needs and validates the ROI;
- Work closely with the overall sales team to deliver a comprehensive and integrated solution message to existing and future Alpega customers;
- Articulate the Alpega capabilities to C-level client audiences;
- Provide feedback from field experiences to product management teams to improve future releases of solutions
- Actively maintain deep knowledge in product areas:
- Current Alpega offerings as well as future roadmap enhancements;
- Competitive offerings (e.g. JDA, Mercury Gate, SAP, Transporeon).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required;
- 3+ years’ experience in creating or developing business processes, strategies and philosophies for transportation and logistics operations;
- Domain expertise in Transportation Management with knowledge and understanding of typical distribution supply chain pain points and challenges of manufacturers, distributors, and retailers;
- Strong software acumen with the ability to learn new solutions, configure demos, effectively present those solutions while explaining the value to the customer;
- You are skilled in executive-level presentations, facilitation, and communication;
- You have experience and success in selling high value and long lead-time enterprise software solutions;
- You are able to work autonomously but also a demonstrated team player;
- You have a solid knowledge of MS Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access;
- You are able to travel as needed, up to 30% of the time within the geographical scope;
- Previous experience with Transportation Management solutions is a plus.
