Senior Project Manager/ Owner Representative
Role
The Senior Construction Project Manager/ Owner Representative will serve in a construction leadership role, providing expertise and management oversight for the construction of the Whittaker Courthouse project in Kansas City, including:
The qualifications for a Senior Project Manager include:
The incumbent in this position can typically expect to sit and use his/her hands to handle and feel for more than 2/3 of the day. He/she can expect to stand or walk for more than 1/3 of the day. Talking and listening are also expected for more than 2/3 of the day. The ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, or reach with arms will be needed for less than 1/3 of the day.
This position requires that the incumbent be able to lift items up to 20 pounds on an infrequent basis.
The incumbent in this position should have clear vision at 20 inches or less. He/she should be able to view various reports and forms as well as information displayed on a computer monitor and have the ability to distinguish between different colors. Depth perception, peripheral vision, the ability to focus, and the ability to see from a distance are also necessary.

Senior Project Manager/ Owner Representative
Role
The Senior Construction Project Manager/ Owner Representative will serve in a construction leadership role, providing expertise and management oversight for the construction of the Whittaker Courthouse project in Kansas City, including:
- Representation on The GSA Whittaker Project.
- Identify, manage, integrate and/or adapt resources to achieve project goals while effectively managing scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects.
- Determine project risk and assess project activities and resources to mitigate risk on behalf of the government.
- Manage all aspects of the project’s Budget and Change order including preparation, negotiation, presentation, approval, and communication of pricing.
- Brief the GSA core team on costs, impact, feasibility, alternatives, issues, recommendations and status of project development and implementation.
- Providing oversight and administration throughout all phases of the project construction and inspection activities
- Providing Independent Assurance and Independent Oversight for the project
- Ensuring environmental, safety, and quality compliance and oversees MEP coordination throughout the construction process.
- Actively monitors scope, schedule & budget and prepares cost estimates as needed.
- Providing project oversight, support, technical advice and performs contractor performance evaluations.
- Ensuring inspection tasks are adequately covered and all project construction activities are accurately documented.
- Conducting AOC meetings to resolve construction related issues and partnering meetings to ensure stakeholder concerns are resolved.
The qualifications for a Senior Project Manager include:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Equivalent
- 20 years of experience in Facilities, development, and construction
- Experience with Construction Manager as Constructor project delivery method for Facilities construction with a contract value of over $100 million.
- Certified Construction Manager preferred.
- Ability to obtain HSPD12.
