Responsibilities
As a Data Analytics Specialist, you will work as part of a team of business analysts and problem solvers, helping to analyze and address complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will use various analytical tools and techniques to analyze data, identify facts and trends, and glean new insights to help Alpha Omega business leaders make important decisions related to the growth of our business. Professional skills and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Learn how Alpha Omega operates as a business and adds value to clients
- Support the Business Development process by performing research, analysis, and problem solving using a variety of tools and techniques, including the Public Internet, Government websites, and other business-related software
- Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts and other pertinent business information
- Produce high quality work that adheres to relevant professional standards
- Keep up-to-date with technical developments in the area of specialization
- Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with management and team members
- Uphold the firm's core values, code of ethics, and business conduct.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor Degree or relevant coursework in: Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics disciplines, or related area
- Experience in Power BI/Tableau
- Experience or coursework in data analytics, statistical analysis and/or computer programming
- Proficiency with MS Office, including MS Excel for capturing and analyzing data, using pivot tables and VB/Macro programming to generate results; MS Powerpoint to present and communicate findings and results
- Ability to communicate confidently in a clear, concise, and articulate manner - verbally and in materials produced.
