IT Manager

Alpha is seeking an IT Manager to serve as a managing role in ensuring Alpha’s technology systems perform exceptionally well. The IT Manager will have a high comfort level with technology and be able to troubleshoot issues, learn computer programs quickly, and be adept at managing the IT team around priorities. The IT Manager will have a strong customer service approach and be incredibly detail-oriented. Additionally, the IT Manager will value communication with all Alpha staff members and collaborating effectively as part of a team.

What you’ll do…

• IT Team Leadership/Management:

• Identify technology needs and manage procurement process
• Facilitate regular team meetings with an action plan addressing weekly priorities
• Coordinate with management teams to preempt emerging needs
• Communicate with third-parties in partner programs for funding and support

• Manage Alpha’s IT Team around technology systems, including: 

• Maintain clear documentation for internal projects and troubleshooting guides
• Manage ticket workflows across multiple teams in Freshdesk
• Manage and support Apple devices with Jamf MDM
• Track and manage assets in SnipeIT
• Setup and manage Chromebooks on an enterprise scale with Google Admin
• Maintain security and usability of Google Apps including Gmail/Google Drive/Google Sites
• Manage and sync student data systems in Clever and InfiniteCampus
• Manage web hosting and security on WordPress, GoDaddy, and BlueHost
• Manage Jive VoIP phone system
• Operate audio/video equipment for large audiences
• Provide advanced support and/or hands-on assistance to staff

Qualifications:

• ENTREPRENEURIAL: Demonstrates risk taking, innovation, self-confidence, and the ability to push oneself beyond one’s comfort zone.
• RELATIONSHIP BUILDER: Ability to collaborate with a wide range of constituents and skilled in providing technical support empathetically to frustrated users of all skill levels.
• ORGANIZED: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, lead projects, meet multiple concurrent deadlines and organize time and priorities.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support (hardware, helpdesk)
• Experience working in IT support at K-12 school systems preferred
• Experience with people and or project management preferred
• Familiarity with macOS 12.4 and Windows 10/11 operating systems
