Job Description:
The Physicist will support medical procedures, provide training, and manage relationships with medical sites and medical experts.
Is responsible for procedure planning, results analysis, as well as problem solving. The Physicist is a main point of contact for the sites in physics matters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Educate and train medical professionals in the most appropriate use of the company products.
- Support our sites/relevant clinics with product and clinical information.
- Manage clinical trial cases.
- Participate in clinical trials treatment planning.
- Support clinical trials procedures on site.
- Participate in post procedure debriefing.
- Represent the company in conventions worldwide and create relevant relationships with experts in the field.
- Create new content and lessons plans according to the company’s needs.
- Treatment planning and post analysis of DICOMs.
- Provide support and training to sites within the physics framework.
- Assist and implement algorithms for improvement of the treatment.
Education Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Physics / Engineering with strong physics background.
Specialized Knowledge:
- Familiarity with radiation and radioactive isotopes (handling, safety, detection techniques)
- Coding experience with Python or Matlab with knowledge in image processing – an advantage
- Hands-on experience in equipment industry (medical, electronics) – an advantage.
Skills, Abilities, & Personal Characteristics:
- Ability to travel within the US & Canada 3-5 times a month (for 2-3 days each time).
- Proactive, entrepreneur mind-set.
- Ability to write and audit documents.
- Presentation skills.
- Able to work in a cross-functional team setting as well as independently.
- Ability to read and interpret clinical publications and protocols.
Work Environment and Conditions:
- The work is in an office environment but involves frequent travel to sites (hospitals, private clinics) in the US and Canada, three to five times a month, often with short notice.
- Ability to withstand witnessing medical procedures.
- Slight exposure to gamma radiation coming off the product is expected
