JOB DESCRIPTION:
Role and responsibilities:
Seeking a Full plumber and apprentice plumber. Work will be in all Alphia facilities as needed. Travel will be required. Position will have emphasis on Plumbing and Pipe fitting. Other mechanical skills will be to help Install and upgrade plant processing equipment. High pressure steam, gas, air, process liquid lines, and general plumbing above and below ground.
Work Environment:
- Demonstrate safe work habits and knowledge of safety protocols while performing job functions
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools, use personnel protective equipment, and maintain job site safety
- Perform a variety of related plumber and pipefitter duties at various plant locations
- Troubleshoot and repair high pressure steam and condensate lines and Equipment
- Install and Repair old and new water and sewer systems
- Install and modify fuel gas systems
- Install piping to new equipment
- Must be able to learn how to Cut and thread pipe, solder and braze Copper, Weld and Tig weld SS pipe
- Must follow through on verbal and written job orders
- Will need to work both independently and in a team environment, given the situation
- Candidate will need to be self-motivated
- All employees will be required to understand and follow plant cGMP’s, and food safety protocols.
- Pre-employment background / drug screening and e-file background testing required.
- Must be able to communicate clearly
- Must be able to lift 50lb on regular Basis
- Be able to work with hands regularly
