Assistant Lodge Manager
Full-time
Salary rate range $30,000-$45,000 DOE
Alpine Lodge is a 22- room lodge in Red Lodge, Montana. We are a resort town at the base of the Beartooth Mountains. We are 70 miles from the Northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We are the number one hospitality property in our town. Our attention to detail is our top priority.
POSITION SUMMARY
To oversee all operations of Alpine Lodge. Must be able to run the business and work closely with the owners to ensure a smooth and upbeat operation. These operations may include administrative, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services. This position is responsible for the overall financial aspects, sales, and marketing of the business. The position is responsible for safety, security, and maintenance of the buildings. This position directs the operations of the property ensuring the highest levels of guest and associate satisfaction while maximizing revenues, profitability, and efficiency. Must have commitment to company values.
Responsibilities
Supervise work at all levels (receptionists, housekeepers, laundry, and maintenance etc.) and set clear objectives.
Maintain office operations including checking in guests, making reservations, and monitoring marketing tools.
Interact with guests, co-workers, and owners in a courteous, professional manner.
Resolve any guest or employee concerns or needs immediately.
Assist in the hiring, training, scheduling, disciplinary action, terminating, and management of all Lodge staff.
Conduct a morning audit of cash and credit cards from the previous night and make cash deposits.
Assist in ordering and maintenance of inventory.
Assist in control of all keys and master keys.
Perform sales and marketing activities including social media accounts.
Assist in overall property aesthetics and cleanliness.
Maintain safe working conditions for employees and guests.
Be informed of community events and chamber of commerce.
Deal with maintenance issues, shortages in staff or equipment needs.
Schedule employee hours and conduct employee meetings.
Oversee groups, meetings, and special events.
Maintain confidentiality of company information, employees, and guests.
Perform other duties as assigned by the owners.
Qualifications
Must be able to work independently and with a team.
Must have High School diploma.
Must have hospitality experience.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency under pressure.
Ability to follow directions and instructions to adapt to specific Lodge procedures.
Must have a pleasant attitude and ability to motivate employees.
Ability to interact with guests to meet their needs.
Must be able to solve problems on the spot.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be outgoing, positive, and have a sense of urgency.
Must be able to problem solve in all aspects of the business.
Must have the ability to energetically converse with guests.
Must be proficient in computer skills and experience in Microsoft office and social media accounts.
Must have driver’s license and good driving record.
Must work weekends and holidays.
Pay: $30,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
