As a Planning Project Manager, you will be collaborating with the project and tender managers to provide proper time management information to support decisions making to fulfill Request For Proposal (RFP) requirements through Tender submission. After the tender is awarded, you will be developing and maintaining the project schedule using best practices (I.e., defined by PMI - Project Management Institute). Additionally, you will be involved in planning deliverable issuance and facilitating reporting to all necessary stakeholders. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing the schedule management requirements of the Customer
- Defining the tender preparation schedule and monitor until the submission of the tender
- Highlight the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule and propose the optimization and mitigation actions
- Participate in the definition of the project schedule interfaces with the partners and the Customer
- Detail potential gaps between project schedule defined in tender and Platform Reference Library schedule
- Maintaining the Project Time Management Plan based on inputs from all stakeholders and keep it updated
- Partnering with the Finance Project Manager to Earned Value Management (EVM) and Schedule of Values (SOV)
- Providing support to Project Core Team on all issues related to projects schedule
- Contributing to the return of experience (REX) and improvements, share best practices, schedule templates
To be successful, you will work to meet a number of key performance indicators on your assigned projects, including on time delivery of all requested tender deliverables requested to fulfill RFP requirements, and schedule analysis for decisions by the Tender Team calling out critical paths for main milestones, planning risks, standard metrics measuring schedule robustness. The projects you work on will have a meaningful impact on our project, and by ensuring that those who use our systems have an exceptional experience. These projects ensure that the trains run on time, and run safely every day.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in Project Development Planning in transportation, industrial, construction or similar environments in complex projects such as Design-build or EPC (Engineer-Procure-Construct)
- 7 or more years with experience in Primavera P6 and MS-Project software skills
- 3 years of experience working with resource load schedule (material, manpower, etc.), SOV, and EVM
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Planisware ODY.C
- Desirable overall knowledge of railway products and systems
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, resilience, and team working spirit
- Comfortable in an international and multi-cultural environment
- Ability to work independently, trustworthy, and self-motivated, self-starter.
- Strict attention to detail and process-oriented
- Strong analytical skills
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in engineering or related field is required.
- Equivalent Combination of education and experience may be considered.
