The Storekeeper is responsible for issuing parts and tools to users and for performing shipping, receiving, stock-keeping and other related duties.
Main Responsibilities
- Accepts material from carriers, signs for the material and unloads material. Inspects material for damage and ensures completeness of shipments.
- Properly prepares and packages material for transport.
- Prepares necessary company and carrier document and loads material.
- Initiates and completes all required documentation.
- Maintains storage facilities including racks, shelves, bins and other locations.
- Operates fork lifts, pallet movers and other material handling equipment. Operates company vehicles for pickup and delivery of parts and material.
- Performs periodic stock counts and adjustments to inventory.
- Issues and credits parts and tools and prepares proper documentation.
- Enters stock information in the Maintenance Management Information System.
- Works variable hours and shifts.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
Mandatory:
- 2 Years of computer experience
- Must possess a New York State valid drivers license
Desirable:
- 3 Years of industrial stores experience with working knowledge of inventory control
Competencies & Skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Intermediate skill levels in Microsoft Office and Windows Operating Applications
- MAXIMO, SCADA
