THE ORGANIZATION
Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) is a non-profit agency under contract to the State of California and for 50 years has provided the coordination of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. ACRC employs approximately 700 persons working out of eight offices in a ten-county area. ACRC is one of 21 Regional Centers in California.
COMPENSATION
The below is dependent upon experience and education.
- Payroll Specialist: $27.19/hr - $38.29/hr.
THE POSITION AND JOB SUMMARY
ACRC is seeking a Payroll Specialist at the Sacramento office. This is a confidential position to provide accurate and timely processing, reporting, and analysis of payroll information. Duties include review and update of employee payroll changes, attendance, travel and expense records, and journal entries; Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive records, information, and communication; Support audits and respond to requests and provide documentation; Assist HR on leave of absence tracking and reporting; Provide trainings to staff on proper payroll processes and coordinate communication with community partners; Gather and analyze information and create reports and payroll documentation with high degree of accuracy, within appropriate time guidelines and maintain complete and well-organized records and files.

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidate will possess: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field with 2 years of experience in payroll, responsibility for accounting activities, and financial analysis/reporting. Must possess the ability to read, interpret, and implement regulations with consistency, the ability to focus on detail for lengthy periods with a high degree of accuracy, ability to do complex work and meet schedules and timelines; the ability to summarize data and prepare organized reports within timelines.
