Maintenance Assistant
Job Posting for Maintenance Assistant at Alta Vista Senior Living
This position assists the Maintenance Manager with all aspects of building repair and maintenance. The candidate would need to demonstrate the following:
Work with Maintenance Manager, identifying building needs and repairs.
Complete work orders on a daily basis or contact Maintenance Manager if materials or outside help is needed.
Assist the Maintenance Manager in the ordering of supplies
Some HVAC and plumbing experience helpful
Assist with repairs and cleanup of vacant apartments in preparation for new residents.
Provide assistance during emergencies and be familiar with emergency policies and procedures.
Work directly with the housekeeping department assisting in emergencies.
Work directly with vendors and contractors as directed by Maintenance Mgr.
Demonstrate freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis upon hire and annually; hold or be eligible for a Class One fingerprint clearance card; pass a background check per company policy; pass pre-employment drug screen; must be able to read, write, understand and communicate in English at a minimum of the 8th grade level.
Act as liaison for team members and residents in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor to make a positive impression to all personal and public contacts.
Must be able to lift 75lbs
Must be able to be on feet all day
Any and all duties assigned by Manager
Job Type: Full-time
