Overview:
The Freight coordinator will oversee transportation logistics to ensure products are delivered on time and according to regulations. Will create daily schedules, assign tasks to drivers, track deliveries, report incidents, answer customer inquiries, determine delivery costs, create delivery invoices, and manage transportation management software (TMS).
The Freight coordinator must juggle a variety of tasks and have a strong attention to detail to perform their job efficiently.

Skills & Requirements:
Strong working knowledge of transportation and logistics operational procedures- Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening
- Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices
- Prior experience using Transportation Management Software (TMS) and other computer applications
- Will have high level of computer literacy
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee the timely delivery of goods- Monitor and manage receipt of all load tenders
- Manage the billing process for all accepted loads
- Update and provide tracking information to customers as well as to internal managers
- Monitor and report driver issues such as accidents, safety concerns, or licensing issues
- May also analyze delivery / operational costs (maintenance / fuel / hire) and present data
- May negotiate contracts with outside transportation companies
- Manage daily schedules for drivers
- Monitor and record driver attendance
- Use of company TMS (Transportation Management Software)
