Position Summary
Assist with aspects of the dispatching operation as it pertains to Operations. Inputs and maintains files of customer information necessary for field operations. Processes customer service meter order work. Assists Operations Clerk as required daily.

Assist with aspects of the dispatching operation as it pertains to Operations. Inputs and maintains files of customer information necessary for field operations. Processes customer service meter order work. Assists Operations Clerk as required daily.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Originates and prepares service and meter work orders for customers.
- Assists in dispatching daily work for field operations personnel.
- Inputs meter order data used by the Billing Department for customer files and other related work.
- Provides meter order related communications between customers and Frederick Gas Company.
- Responds to customer inquiries.
- Provides communications with field operations and Frederick County Emergency Communications Center during gas-related emergencies.
- Follows through with customer and employee contacts.
- Establishes and maintains customer meter and service work orders and records.
- Schedules and coordinates work between customers and technicians.
- Responsible for inventory of computer, two-way radio and related equipment.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic computer skills.
- Prior utility field service repair experience and/or dispatching experience preferred.
- Position requires good organizational skills and telephone etiquette.
- Must possess good communication skills and ability to interact with diverse customers.
- requireduires good analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to use sound judgment in decision-making.
