Altamira is seeking a mid-level APEX Developer. This is a hybrid position with work to be performed at our client's facility in Gallery Place, DC.
Duties/Qualifications:
You will design, execute, assess, and troubleshoot software programs and applications. This includes configuring, coding, developing, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle. Oversee system startups in a timely and accurate fashion; and provide support to other departments where required.
Responsible for designing, testing, coding, and developing Apex software to meet user’s needs; recommending software upgrades for current and future systems; ensuring software continues to function normally through software maintenance, upgrade, and testing; and documenting every aspects of the application, service or environment as a reference for future operations and maintenance, including version and platform upgrades.
The position is currently in Gallery Place and available for 50-70% telework as mission allows.
Major duties and required experience:
Assist in the development of modular web-based applications, written in APEX. The contract software developers will work in conjunction with other government developers to assist in various phases of the application development lifecycle, including but not limited to, system analysis, system design, prototype construction, application development, database design, and test automation.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with programming and software development including analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, maintenance, quality assurance, troubleshooting and/or upgrading of software systems.
- At least 2 years of experience using Apex software
- Active Top Secret clearance
- PL/SQL
- Experience with HTML
- Experience with Relational Database Design (Oracle 12c)
- Experience with Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object Oriented Design (OOD)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong desire for software development
- Strong desire to learn and master APEX
