Responsibilities
Support the coordination and scheduling of E.M.R. Training:
- Assist in the coordination with HR and PI departments for new staff training
- Assist in the scheduling of training based upon professional discipline
- Modify training profiles to those being trained
- Prepare signature authorization forms for trained staff
- Communicate schedule to HR, PI, and new staff members
- Create ACTIVE user profiles for staff trained
E.M.R. Training:
- Logging in procedures
- General navigation of EMR application
- Customizing a user’s console screen
- Introduction to administrative and clinical functionality
- Introduction to customized functionality that may be program specific
- Introduction to additional EMR supporting applications.
- Integrating other office applications into EMR.
- Outlining correction and help desk support procedures.
E.H.R. Support
- Respond to calls at the E.H.R. Help Desk promptly
- First response to E.H.R., InfoScriber, and Imaging questions and issues
- Record all correction requests (phone, email, departmental) into tracking repository
- Communicate estimated time of completion for questions or issues that remain unresolved
- Forward technical and application errors to programmers or MIS help desk
- Email requests should be responded to with a receipt email.
- Corrections (EHR, Imaging) should follow MIS outlined procedures with notification provided to other departments as necessary
- Monitor and communicate compliance with special reporting requirements
Other MIS duties that may be assigned include the following:
- Assist in manning MIS help desk when necessary
- Participate in MIS team meetings and initiatives
- Participate on committees deemed necessary to support standards and accreditations
- Participate in or assist in providing orientation, application and other training for MIS
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Administrative and other related duties as assigned
- Actively participates in Performance Improvement activities
- Actively participates in AltaPointe committees as requested
- Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Assist in providing other training when necessary
- Treats consumers and others with dignity and respect
- Works in a cooperative manner with other AltaPointe employees
- Follows AltaPointe policies and procedures
Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED; One-Two years’ experience working in an office setting required. Must be self-motivated, organized, work independently, and possess office application computer skills. Knowledge in E.M.R. (Electronic Medical Record) systems, medical record practices and workflow is preferred. Good communication skills, ability to train and lead staff.
Physical Requirements of the Job: Lift 30 lbs.
