Position Overview:
Alterman, Inc. currently has an opening for the position of Warehouse Team Leader. This position will assist the Tool & Logistics Manager with all day-to-day operations in the warehouse to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of projects. To be successful in this role, the incumbent must be a professional able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and significant interaction with employees and vendors.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work under general supervision of the Tool & Logistics Manager, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks.
- Conducts physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory and reconciles any differences.
- Ensure that all inventory is organized and stored in correct locations in the warehouse.
- Schedule materials being transferred to and from the warehouse and assign routes for delivery drivers.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
- Communicate with field management on deliveries.
- Create and provide reporting for all deliveries to improve efficiencies.
- Assist Tool & Logistics Manager with training of new employees.
- Operate Forklift as needed.
- Observe Alterman’s safety and security procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college; or 6 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or GED Equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain environment.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to set priorities, organize work and work in high production environment while responding quickly and effectively under pressure, changing priorities and tight timelines/deadlines.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills (spelling, grammar, etc.) with the ability to integrate into a construction environment.
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers and vendors.
- Strong computer skills with all basic office programs (Outlook and Word) and the ability to learn and use related software and systems are required.
- Experience utilizing ToolWatch and Milkwaukee OneKey is preferred.
