Job Posting for Purchase Clerk at Alternative Employment
A manufacturing company is looking for an enthusiastic Purchase Clerk to join their team.
The principal purpose of this position is to procure materials from internal and external suppliers and maintain proper inventory levels to ensure timely shipping of orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Purchase Clerk:
Generate purchase orders for materials according to ERP requirements and forecasts
Follow up with suppliers to confirm or change orders; Expedite as needed
Monitor orders to ensure timely delivery
Create and issue RFQ’s to vendors and calculate landed costs accordingly
Prepare metric reports (KPI’s)
Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements, Qualifications and Skills of Purchase Clerk:
Proficient computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of ERP/MRP principles
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Problem-solving and multitasking abilities
Strong organizational
Education and Experience:
Associates degree will consider equivalent work experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing function in a manufacturing environment
