The Sunkota Construction team is seeking a full-time experienced Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. If you are hardworking and dependable, we want you on our team!
You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. An excellent Construction Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
Project Manager is a salaried position based upon 40 hours per week. Pay is based upon experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Choose subcontractors and delegate their responsibilities.
- Ensure deadlines are met and kept within project budget.
- Responsible for any delays, emergencies and problems that may arise.
- Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements.
- Report project progress and budget to client.
- Explain contract and technical matter to others in a clear manner.
- Review project scope and develop (and update) project schedules.
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Coordinate activities of employees, subcontractors & suppliers for assigned projects.
- Host project meetings with owners and subcontractors.
- Request, review and approve submittals.
- Manage project RFI’s, RFP’s and change orders.
- Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) project delivery method experience not required, but a plus.
Skills:
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization to identify best practices and solutions.
- Read and understand blueprints.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficient at managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Estimating and budgeting for commercial construction.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bid Exchange Sites, Procore, Revu BlueBeam and other relevant construction or management software.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- A team player with leadership abilities.
Requirements:
- Understanding of all commercial construction scopes of work with emphasis on excavation, demolition, concrete, rough & finish carpentry, finishes and specialties.
- Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications.
- Communication and teamwork skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- 5 years of experience in commercial construction.
- Ability to adhere to tight schedules and still maintain work quality.
- Adaptability and ability to change priorities as they dynamically shift.
- Analytical thinking/problem solving.
- Attention-to-detail and design.

Pay: $71,450.00 - $77,144.00 per year
