What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Scheduler position at Alternative Nursing Services, Inc.?
Alternative Nurisng Sercices is a Mediciad Certified, Non-Medical home care company, and we currently have an opening for a full time Front Desk Scheduler/ Administrative Assitant. This position will be Monday to Friday from 8:30am-5pm (hours may slightly very depending on office needs).
The Primary Functions of this position to cover the front desk position and greet those who come into the office, keep the front office clean and organized as well as scheduling assigned clients (i.e., up to 30-client census or 2,500 service hours schedule a month), ensure that the LTCW (caregiver) are oriented to the client prior to providing services to ensure quality care & appropriate quantity of services occurs. The front desk coordinator will staff and schedule client community-based services up to 2,500 hours a month & assist the Lead Scheduler as needed. This position is responsible to ensure the front-office and lobby are clean and organized. The Front Desk Coordinator will assist in the IdentiGo Process, as well as assist the H.R. Coordinator as requested and as time allows. This position will primarily answer & transfer in-coming telephone calls, schedule employees onto client cases according to their level of experience and appropriate licenses. The Front Desk position will also have general key-boarding and data input. Perform clerical functions as directed by the Office Coordinator or Administrator, as well as other tasks as requested.
Responsibilities:
· Answer all incoming calls and providing accurate information.
· Pair Caregiver/CNA’s with clients based on caregiver skills, availability, and client requests.
· Maintain and update the schedule for clients and Caregiver/CNA’s
· Reach out and communicate with case managers, clients, and Caregiver/CNA’s to ensure they agree to and understand the schedule
· Build good relationships with case managers and clients
· Teamwork, and approach all work situations with a pleasant attitude
· Exceptional organizational and communication skills
· May assiat office staff as requested and needed
· Ensure the front office is clean and organized
· Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma (or equivalent)
· A minimum of 1-year recent experience as a scheduling coordinator in a home care agency or other health care field preferred.
· Ability to multitask and a propensity for working with and helping people
· Computer skills including but are not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Scheduling programs.
