Ensures quality control for all types of FTTP and HFC system plant, Installation, Safety QCs underground, MDU, and B/A) in a manner that ensures Altice USA’s technical field requirements are adhered to, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction through a high level of operational efficiency. Assists the management team in ensuring that Altice USA’s contractor adheres to all specified installation, safety requirements. Responsible for ensuring installation compliance repair, maintenance, testing and documentation of all outside plant system components, from hub to distribution network. Position will ensure technical Field operation compliance for the delivery of such services as Video, HSD, IP Phone, WiFi, Metro Ethernet and BCOOL to the customer.

  • Knowledgeable of all tasks associated with Field operations
  • Must be able to perform all duties of a Field technician.
  • Produces Safety QCs as it applies.
  • Security incidents – KDB allegations against techs
  • Optimum id compliance
  • Uniform compliance (tech appearance), including badge
  • In-house/Contractor Asset Control, Aging, Returns
  • Inventory Control, Levels, Audits
  • Disconnect QC and Verification
  • Ability to read and understand system maps for both HFC and FTTP
  • Knowledge of construction and installation specifications related to the wiring of interior and exterior MDU installations including ensuring the appropriate connections of all cables, boxes and wiring.
  • Knowledge of construction and installations specifications related to building attachments and underground.
  • Provide ongoing wireless network support.
  • Responsible for quality checks of WiFi units.
  • Ensures that all Installation procedures have been completed before contractor is relieved of its obligation – QC and invoice verification.
  • Monitors and accounts for material usage on installation projects.
  • Complies with safety guidelines as laid out in Altice USA’s safety manual and in relationship to OSHA, National
  • Electric Safety Code (NESC), National Electric Code (NEC), Blue Book, SCTE Construction and Fiber Manual and
  • Building Officials Code Administration. (BOCA) i.e.; fire stop procedures and certification.
  • Performs surveys, as needed compliance checks of system power supplies. Knowledge of construction specifications related to splicing of active & passive components of a hybrid fiber coax network and FTTP network using appropriate POC (platform of choice) equipment and tools such as Company approved test equipment.
  • Completes any and all paperwork tasks related to QC compliance and ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Informs management of any and all issues that may extend beyond the field operations compliance position or current knowledge/skill level, for the purpose of ensuring complete customer satisfaction and adherence to Altice USA’s operation specifications.
  • Knowledge of field operational specifications related to underground installations.
  • Ensures field compliance with OSHA, National Electrical Safety Code and Building Officials Code Administration.
  • Assists management on all special projects. Coordinates and performs in field quality job checks. Handle phone calls/e-mails/meetings and assists in networking with other departments.
  • Performs such duties for the management that may be necessary from time to time.
  • Motivates and coaches Altice USA’s contractor in field operations specifications to meet standards.
  • Complies with Altice USA’s uniform dress code in order to present a neat and professional image to our customers and the public in general.
  • Works a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, overtime, emergency duty and stand-by as needed.

  • OSP- Outage Compliance- Video/Wi-Fi MTTR
  • CLI- Quarterly Ride-Out and Repair to FCC requirements
  • POP Testing (FCC)
  • Create, oversee and/or participate in the submission of detailed engineering plans as required by various municipalities and governmental agencies.
  • Act as a liaison between Altice USA and ATS.
  • Perform field investigations and retrieve documentation related to personal injury claims
  • Act as a liaison between risk management and the field operation department to update and maintain various issues that may arise.
  • Coordinate police detail as needed
  • Participate in special projects and perform other various duties from time to time as requested by the Field operational management team.
  • Update and Maintain database of all safety requirements.
  • Maintain files of applications QC file.
  • Update, maintain and revise as required multiple databases, logs & tracking systems.
  • Meet with contractors(ATS) as requested on job sites to provide direction as needed.
  • Field surveys for new customers (commercial & residential.)
  • Act as a liaison between Design & Construction departments.
  • Participate in site meetings with builders on new projects as needed.

  • Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities as described in all Field Technician positions in full and adequate manner
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Valid States Driver’s License within State of Employment and CDL where applicable.
  • Min 5 years’ experience with Field operations.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Knowledge of all mdu, aerial, underground and BA installation materials and equipment, related hand tools, including technical familiarity with HFC and FTTP system plant components and wiring.
  • Knowledge of aerial and underground installation procedures and specifications.
  • Knowledge of grounding and bonding specifications as necessary.
  • Knowledge of the complete usage of underground locating equipment. (UG Locator)
  • Knowledge of basic test equipment. (VEEX Meter, Volt/OHM meter, PON Meter)
  • Knowledge of basic design calculations for HFC and FTTP design specifications
  • Knowledge of all contractor specifications and billing procedures.
  • Knowledge of complete safety precautions.
  • Must possess good PC skills including knowledge of MS Office software.
  • Knowledge of construction compliance technician skills.
  • Ability to carry and climb a 28-foot extension ladder.
  • Willingness to climb poles.
  • Ability to read system maps.
  • Ability to operate and maintain a vehicle.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work standby and overtime as needed. Includes emergency duty.
  • Knowledge of Altice USA’s system/plant components for HFC and FTTP
  • Knowledge to operate all tools and equipment necessary for the construction compliance position in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Ability to assist management in handling customer complaints in a professional and complete manner
