Fixed Operations Director Responsibilities
- Forecast goals and objectives for the parts and service department
- Hire, train, and monitor the performance of all parts and service department staff
- Oversee day to day operations in the shop and service drive
- Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service
- Serve as the lead for technicians, advisors, parts personnel
- Take ownership of customers experience by carrying out additional assignments, enabling the dealership top leave a positive impression with the customer
- Trouble shoot and work with shop software company.
- Communicates with Vendors
- Oversees shop tooling
- Work with Marketing to increase shop business
- Delegate work in Service Shop
- Enforce safety requirements
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Create a yearly budget and plan to ensure department profitability
- Implement department efficiencies
Fixed Operations Director Qualifications
- 3-5 years prior auto management experience
- Proven track record of 85% fixed ops absorption
- Ability to retain and Train Techs
- Expertise in service drive management and parts counter effectiveness
- Have experience across manufacturer lines
- Enthusiasm for building a solid business
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lead, train, and manage a team
- Ability to work well in a team environment and effectively manage time
- Proven follow-up and organizational skills
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret written information and instructions
- Superior communication and customer service skills
- Strong managerial skills
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
