The Jr. Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, plant blow mold equipment and facility. They are also responsible for following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Performs preventive and corrective maintenance functions
Comply with OSHA and company safety and hygiene standards
Communicate with other departments on a frequent basis
Troubleshoot and repair blow molders, baggers & all support equipment
Performs Mold Changes
Preventive maintenance on all related equipment
Assist in neck tooling changes
Performs welding and fabrication as needed
Shuts down and restarts machinery
Performs lock out/tag out procedures
Keeps work areas in clean condition
Contacts vendors for needed repairs

EXPERIENCE:

Basic mathematical skills
Basic computer experience
Strong mechanical aptitude

EDUCATION:

• Prefer High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• May require a current OSHA forklift certification.

TRAINING:

• Completion of Altium Industrial Maintenance Technician I training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
