Project Coordinator

A local non-profit is looking for a highly experienced Project Coordinator to assist them ASAP through the summer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing project updates, plans, financing, strategies, and budgets as well as coordinating with Federal, State, and County governments to ensure proper permit requirements.

The ideal candidate will have previous project management experience, specifically in relation to construction/development.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Location

Iwilei, Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$30 to $40 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and provide project updates to contractors and service providers.
  • Prepare applications and plan for funding/financing and operations.
  • Support the evaluation of project opportunities.
  • Create development strategies, negotiate agreements, and coordinate community acceptance planning.
  • Assist with recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteer tasks.
  • Coordinate schedules, budgets, and agreements with builders.
  • Coordinate with the Federal, State, and County governments to ensure needed permit requirements.
  • Secure insurance for all projects.
  • Collect contract agreements, contractor insurance and invoicing.
  • Schedule meetings as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have previous experience in Project Management, specifically in relation to construction/development.
  • Previous experience with affordable housing is highly beneficial, but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
