This internship program is for participants from The VCU Rehabilitation Research and Training Center. Altria is currently seeking interns to join our Company in a 15-week Program, January 23rd- May 3rd, 2024. After the successful completion of the internship, there may be an opportunity for part-time conversion.
Job Description
Altria is currently seeking a Quality Inspector to join the team at Park 500. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the future and influence our industry in our ever-changing landscape. During the internship, you’ll experience on-the-job training, access to a diverse group of mentors, and professional development opportunities. Interns will be challenged and empowered to participate in the following:
- Print, staple, and distribute hard copy production forms
- Perform ALCOA checks of completed hard copy production forms
- Follow up with operators and BULs to revisit/correct incorrectly or incompletely filled forms
- Record document completion statuses in an excel spreadsheet
- Scan/save completed production forms under designated folders
- Verify electronic documentation in comparison to hard copy documentation for any discrepancies, missing information/task
- Verify weekly completion of electronic required task in sanitation and environmental database
Skillsets
- Experience or interest in learning Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- A willingness to receive feedback and work with a team
Rate: $15 an hour, 15 hours a week
Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9:00AM-2:30PM
