We are currently recruiting a Paralegal to join the Law department in Richmond, VA or we are open to remote work arrangements.
As a Paralegal you’ll provide moderately complex legal support services and analysis to attorneys, managers and business clients, which includes researching issues, drafting and reviewing business documents, and collaborating with others with Human Resources, Compliance and the companies of Altria.
What you’ll be doing:
• Provides support and data analysis for the Affirmative Action Programs, including preparation of data for vendor
• Provide support and data preparation filing of EEO-1 reports
• Consult with and provide guidance to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
• Review of internal and external communications for compliance with employment law and company policies and identify potential issues
• Provide support for anti-bribery anti-corruption and import/export compliance programs
• Draft legal documents, maintains record preservation as needed Experience with vendor relationships and outside attorneys
• As appropriate, provides support and assistance in employment litigation
What we want you to have:
• 3 years’ experience in employment law or related field
• Working knowledge of Affirmative Action and Federal Contracting Compliance, law firm experience preferred
• Ability to identify, articulate and consult with clients regarding legal and regulatory matters
• Preparation and delivery of presentations and various analyses for high level internal and external governmental agencies in a timely and professional manner
• Must be able to perform the duties within a general office environment.
• Proficient in Excel
