Lab Technician Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician Supervisor to join our team. As a Lab Technician Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of employees, ensuring that operations run smoothly, and achieving departmental goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of successfully supervising teams

Qualifications

• Associates in Automation, Electronics, Automotive or similar field of study.
• Supervisor or team lead experience.
• Up to 5 years of experience.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Communicates ideas efficiently and concisely.
• Proficient at reading schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient in Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of basic electronic circuits and use of multi-meters.
• Familiarity with electronics lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.
• Familiarity with hand tools and general safety practices in lab environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and document faulty components.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Infrared technology.
• Knowledge of digital imagery.
• Comfortable working with and handling electronic components.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team: Provide guidance, support, and direction to a team of employees. Delegate tasks, set performance expectations, and monitor progress. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional development.
• Ensure operational efficiency: Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure that productivity targets are met. Monitor workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize efficiency. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall organizational effectiveness.
• Maintain quality standards: Ensure that all work performed by the team meets or exceeds quality standards. Conduct regular quality checks and implement corrective actions as necessary. Provide feedback and coaching to employees to enhance their performance and promote continuous improvement.
• The Lab Technician Supervisor will work with our team of engineers/technicians to maintain a fleet of Automated Enforcement Systems (AES).
• This position will report to the Lead Production Systems Engineer.
