Warranty

Summary

Under the direction of and reporting to the Production Manager, the Warranty position be responsible for the repair of aluminum trailers for warranty purposes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Use a MIG welder to repair aluminum trailers based on set specifications.
2. Attendance along with attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work independently and/or on a team.
3. Comprehend and follow checklists, masters, and prints.
4. Communicate with customers.
5. Assist lines/areas when repairs are needed or if no repairs are required at times.
6. Conduct all work in a safe manner, including use of a hoist, step stool and hand tools.
7. Maintain housekeeping and 6s of area.
8. Follow all Aluma Safety and Company policies and procedures including the use of all required PPE.
9. Maintain all Aluma quality standards including recognize parts issues and defects so they can be corrected.
10. Assist in training new employees.
11. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
12. May include duties at both Emmetsburg and Bancroft plants.
13. Position may include sales shows and R&D work.
14. Other duties as assigned.

• High School education or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work well with coworkers.
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a changing environment.
• Must be able to read a tape measure and any other necessary measuring devices.
• Must be able to successfully complete the Physical Capacity Profile (PCP) to required standard.
• Must be able to successfully complete a Pre-employment drug screen.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel crouch, crawl, and ability to use a step stool, frequently required to reach with hands and arms, uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects. The colleague must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. force frequently and lift to 10-20 lbs. consistently. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
