POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
The Management Analyst Journeyman performs a wide variety of highly responsible tasks by way of analytical assistance for the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs; administration and oversight of contracts; budget analysis, preparation, monitoring, and reporting; administrative support through research, analysis, report writing, and recommendations; and other related work.
Work to identify the processes that need to be established for relevant work. Assist in the coordination of projects and day-to-day activities with the team.
Gathers and organizes information on problems or procedures. Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding. Confers with personnel concerned to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures.
Develops and implements records management program for filing, protection, and retrieval of records, and assures compliance with program.
Reviews forms and reports and confers with management and users about format, distribution, and purpose, and to identify problems and improvements. Interviews personnel and conducts on-site observation to ascertain unit functions, work performed, and methods, equipment, and personnel used.
Documents findings of study and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. Prepares manuals and trains workers in use of new forms, reports, procedures or equipment, according to organizational policy.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in any field of study.
Requires minimum of four years’ experience in a business-related field demonstrating self-confidence, management of workload, communication with diverse individuals, application of good judgment, and working knowledge of business systems.
