The Butz Family of Companies seeks a MEP Project Manager at Alexander Building Construction Co. located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This individual will provide overall project management of, and leadership for MEP and Fire Protection Trades on multiple projects. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with MEP subcontractors
- Produce estimates
- Oversee Building Start-Up, Validation, and Commissioning of MEP Systems
- Review of the design concepts and offer Value Engineering concepts and cost analysis
- Develop 'scope of work' for MEP trades
- Provide input for the development and maintenance of project schedule
- Participate in periodic progress meetings
- Receive, review and approve monthly MEP subcontractor, vendor invoices and change orders
- Oversee the quality of the MEP field-installed work
- Ensure that the MEP aspects of the job are completed in a timely manner
- Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of technical training and experience. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Project Management or Project Engineer or five years in the building construction industry. Knowledge of computerized estimating systems and cost data bases and word processing software. A working knowledge of 3D coordination and/or BIM is preferred.
