Primary Purpose:
Organize and supervise the intake of ADAPT students, formulate and implement physical training regiments, serve as disciplinary support for all ADAPT teaching staff, serve as disciplinary support for ISS and AEC, monitor and evaluate student behavior on a daily basis, responsible for accurate and timely record keeping, and involvement in preparation of students
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, plus:
Two years of study at an institution of higher education totaling 48 hours, or
Associates Degree, or
Passing score on the “Paraprofessional Assessment of Competencies” exam, to be administered by Alvin ISD. (Note: the test is approximately 3 hours. In order to take the PAC exam, you must have a current application online. If you are selected for an interview, transcripts showing your degree or college hours should be presented at that time)
Valid Texas Education Aide Certificate (obtainable through Alvin ISD when hired)
Military training desired
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Disciplinary instruction skills
