A San Diego based Construction Company with operations throughout Southern California currently has openings for Full Time DISPATCHER, in its Lakeside, California Division.
JOB DUTIES:
The duties for this position will include and not limited to performing physical labor for;
- Answer phone calls/emails regarding orders.
- Keep inventory of internal equipment and yard stock materials.
- Assist customers and team members with scheduling all orders for material, equipment moves and field orders in a timely manner.
- Coordinate timeline and equipment with field employees.
- Route drivers efficiently.
- Able to work around a constantly adjusting schedule and priorities.
SPECIAL SKILLS OR REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified candidates must possess the following special skills and or requirements to be considered for this position.
- High School diploma,
- 2 years of prior dispatch experience.
- Construction or heavy equipment knowledge is a plus.
- Computer literate, and ability to learn new software.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication.
- Geographical knowledge of the area is required.
- Willing to take initiative and work as a team.
- Be available to work Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40-50 hours per week. Work some weekends and after hours (OneCall) required.
- Ability to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely manner.
- Always maintains confidentiality.
- Contributes to building a positive work environment.
- Must be able to successfully pass drug screen
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Sage preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of Heavybid preferred, but not required
