What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Support position at Amada?
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible to provide end user support onsite or remotely including PC hardware, software and
mobile devices. Works with current technical support including hands on troubleshooting as well
as support via telephone.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Install, configure, upgrade for new or existing desktop/laptop software and hardware,
desk phones and mobile devices - Provide onsite, remote and phone support for troubleshooting, including PC/laptop hardware, software, desk phones, tablet and Smartphone
- Maintain the cell phone and telecom billing
- Maintain, advice and assist ordering company mobile devices such as cellphone, MiFi, tablet and accessories
- Assist Technology Support Manager with phone system issues
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with maintenance of onsite desktops, laptop, monitors, printers, copiers, video conference system, fax machines
- Assist with ordering of new and additional desktop and laptop hardware, software and peripheral
- Maintains parts inventory and logs all services/repair activity
- Learn and understand basic knowledge on Windows Servers and networking tools and utilities
- Assist with maintenance of Windows servers 2012, 2016 and 2019
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
- Technology Support Manager
- IT Executive General Manager
KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience with Windows 10, MacOS, iOS, android and limited networking required
- Experience with Windows servers 2012, 2016 and 2019 helpful
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Information Technology or computer related degree
SKILLS:
- Graduate of accredited college or equivalent experience
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills
TRAVEL:
- Local Offices : Buena Park , La Mirada MFG , and Brea MFG
- Local Off site events when needed
