We are seeking a skilled and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a dental office setting. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Dentrix software
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Collect payments from patients and provide receipts
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a dental receptionist or medical administrative support role
- Familiarity with the dental office system Dentrix
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
